We'd like to introduce you to the men charged with the spiritual oversight of Crossroads Baptist Church.
Daniel Gunter
Dan Gunter has been blessed to be the husband of Deb Gunter since 1979. The Lord has also blessed Dan and Deb with two wonderful children, Justin and Evin.
Dan was sovereignly converted to Christ in 1984 and first sensed the call of the Lord into ministry in 1993 under the ministry of Dr. Tommy Middleton at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, LA. In August of 1994 Dan and his family moved to New Orleans to begin preparation for the ministry and attend seminary. Dan graduated in 2000 with a B.A. in Theology and Church History from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
In 1996 Dan accepted the call to his first church and has since pastored churches in Louisiana, South Carolina, and Mississippi. While in South Carolina Dan received training in biblical counseling through Providence Biblical Counseling and Training Center in Greenville South Carolina. Dan holds a certification through the International Association of Biblical Counselors (IABC). Dan has been privileged to lead conferences on marriage and family issues in South Carolina and Louisiana. He has also taught Church History and Biblical Counseling classes to ministers in yearly trips to Mumbai, India at Providence Evangelical Bible Seminary. He presently teaches and trains counselors as part of the Crossroads Baptist Church biblical counseling ministry, Christian Counseling Center, Inc. And shares the ministry and teaching responsibilities with Crossroads’ other Elder, Randy Cofield.
Randy Cofield
Randy Cofield is married to the former Cynthia Hill and is the blessed father of 3 wonderful children, Lacey, Jessica, and Logan. Randy was converted to Christ by the marvelous grace of God on August 3, 1979.
A homebuilder by trade, Randy owns and operates L. J. & L. Design Homes, Inc., as well as Cofield Design Kitchens, LLC.
Having taught Adult Sunday School, lead the Adult Discipleship Program, and having been trained in Biblical counseling, Randy absolutely believes that God's Word is truly "A lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path."
